Ideology vs. Evidence

A great speech by former President Bill Clinton at a democratic fundraiser in Seattle, Washington on July 31st, 2006.
.
.
.
(He kind of snuck in a little bit too much of Hillary, but I guess that's a given).
.
.
.
On a separate note, a federal court struck down President Bush's domestic phone spying (a.k.a. domestic surveyllance, wiretapping, eavesdropping, etc.) program as being an unconstitutional infringement on the rights of free speech and privacy.
.
Good news, but still can't take a bottle of water on an airplane.

Wow, talk about a great speech!

"They think argument is the providence of weak minds."

I had a discussion with an aunt of mine recently, which reverted every two seconds to (her) interpretation of the "Salafi party line".. really no original thought whatsoever.

Now listen to dubya for two minutes, man he makes you sick. They guy cannot sustain a coherent line of reasoning for half a sentence. Slogans and abstract nouns (Freedom, security, protection, etc etc...)

Clinton's greatness is by instinct. I was about to sit down and make a comparison between him and Bush. Just a general comparison. I started to count the times Clinton had Mid-east parties on a table and how many times Bush did it. I stopped there.

Ayya and Shopa
Apparently, you guys are still hung over from last post :P

Who said I needed a bottle on an airplane for wiping!

Mobi

Can't listen/watch anything from work.
One of Clinton's best speeches is the one in the last Dems Convention.
As mobi said, charisma bnt kalb.

Bush is and will always be an a-hole.

J,
I envy you for being surrounded by American politics, I miss that.

Finally got it; a great speech. And about the bottle; why are you complicating the issue so much, you can ask the stewardess for water :p
But what concern me the most is if I would be allowed to take my book with me, because I might even cancel my long flight is the book is not allowed.

Tsadig I haven’t seen that speech. I’ll look for it.

Wallah I envy me sometimes too.

Water from flight attendants shughul 6raara! A glass that’s 2 inches high and half empty. You could be optimistic and look at it as half full, but that won’t do it for me.

Kuwait Airways has different set of rules, but all US airlines allow everything on board except liquids and gels.

Jandeef, do you know if we can take books or not? I heard you can't but just want to make sure. I guess a book can be used as a terrorist tactic...to throw it at someone two aisles down.
