This is my latest obsession.

The song is very short and light-hearted. The tune is nice and catchy. And the video is cute and creative. Especially changing outfits and backgrounds from one scene to another.

مع قدوم الجو الجميل، ما كو أحلى من فتح التنتة في الطريق.


أي مشوار لي لا يخلو من النرفزة من مخابيل الطريق، وأتنرفز ليس فقط لأن شخص كاد أن يدعمني، أو نام على حارتي، أو لازق فيني ويترك.

أنا أتنرفز حتى من اللي يغير الحارة من دون لا يستعمل الإشارة، حتى وإن كان بعيد عني، أرى فيها عدم احترام.

في السابق كنت أدق هرنات، أو أشب العالي، أو أخاطبه في الإشارة، أو أشاوط وألاوط بيدي، وأشيلها بقلبي إلى أن تأتي النرفزة القادمة.


أما الآن، فعندي ظاهرة دخيلة علي، هي ممكن تكون سلبية، لكن يايزة لي.

اللي يضايقني بالطريق، أسلم عليه سلام أمريكان مثل ما يقول خالي.

أرفع يدي اليمين وأطلعها من التنتة، وأوريه أحد أصابعي.

لا يهم من كان، رجل إمرأة، شايب عجوز، بنت ولد، كويتي مو كويتي، نرفزني، وراح يجيك صبعي.

تعطي شعور بالراحة، وتبعد عنك الهم والكدر، لا داعي للنرفزة.

وحالياً، تقريباً أسلم على الناس بمعدل ثلاث مرات باليوم.

After the passing of the great George Carlin a few weeks ago, another stand-up comedy pillar died yesterday.

Bernie Mac

1958 - 2008

My kinship with his work started with the Original Kings of Comedy show back in 2001. His style has mainly revolved around family issues; black families mostly. Speaking of which, he's well known to be a family man and a father figure to the core. Strikingly for his young looks, he's 50 and has a daughter in her 20's.

George Carlin R.I.P.

1937 - 2008

Two R.I.P. posts in a row. Hopefully no 3rd.

Very sad that George Carlin will no longer be there to perform. He was in no way a stand up comedian. Instead, he was a philosopher, true liberal, true liberterian, and says a lot of things that people would like to say, but dare not to.

I was fortunate enough to see him live last year when he visited my town. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Here are some of his famous routines:

The Ten Commandments

Airplane Safety

Modern Man

And finally, his infamous "Seven Dirty Words" routine that made it all the way to the supreme court. It would eventually forever change comedy and american TV.




By the way, all his HBO 90-minute long specials are available on YouTube, and I strongly recommend watching them. There's a lot of philosophy in them more than just comedy.

The definition of professional, respectable, objective, and interesting contemporary political journalism is gone.

Enjoyed Bush-Gore 2000 watching him. Enjoyed Bush-Kerry 2004 watching him. And definitely

was looking forward to McCain-Obama 2008 with him.

Too sad it won't happen.
